What the numbers mean
Glicko-2, not a leaderboard
Every athlete carries a rating and a deviation. A newcomer at 1500 and a veteran at 1500 are not the same claim, and the board never pretends otherwise.
Two separate tracks
One rating from all matchups — a cross-sport preference index. A second from same-sport matchups only, which is the fairer number inside a discipline.
